R.I.P. MARTHA GONZALEZ

This is difficult to post in general and on a public forum, but I feel it's necessary to inform those concerned loved ones and friends that the love of my life, MARTHA GONZALEZ was involved in a Hit and Run and was killed on 10-13-09. It has been mentioned all over the local Chicago news:

Deadly hit-and-run in Pilsen neighborhood - WGN

In memory of MARTHA GONZALEZ a fund was created at MB FINANCIAL Bank (1-888-422-6562) to assist w/funeral cost.

Surplus funds raised will go to help her debt and to the education of her children Max (4 yrs) & Marko (19 yrs). You can visit any MB location and deposit cash or check in MARTHA's name. Andrew Kudelka or Angelica Gonzalez are also acceptable.

If you have any problems contact me or Arlene Campos (312-421-5500) at the 1618 W. 18th St. MB Financial Pilsen location.

I will post funeral arrangements once we have had the time to this unfortunate situation.

Thank you all for your love and concern,
Andrew

I was in the terminal this morning when I found out about Martha. I can't imagine your loss. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. I find that in times like this, hearing good or funny stories helps bring calm and peace. I hope that this memory brings you a little more peace in this time.
I was one of Martha's coworkers. When we check into work we have to see who else is on the trip to become familiar with them. When I checked Martha's information, I noticed her employee number indicating she was a new employee. It made me remember back to when I was a new employee and terrified of doing something wrong. So my goal was to make her feel very comfortable that day flying with us, it being her first day. When we showed up to the airplane, Martha was nowhere to be seen. Turns out she was running late on her first day. When she arrived, she looked nervous, and in a bit of a sweat. I knew exactly how she felt. I extendeD my hand and introduced myself and told her to take her time with everything and not to worry about being late.

She said ok, but I could tell during her preflight she still was. Martha did terrific that day. She did her job better than any flight attendant I had flown with on her first day.

I was deeply saddened to hear about what happened. So much so that it made me really reflect on how lucky I was to meet such a great person. Throughout the whole day while flying, my thoughts were with your family and
knowing she was in a better place.

May god rest her sole.

I'm very sorry to hear about this tragedy. I heard about this from one of our interpreters here at Evanston on Friday. My prayers are with you and her family.

I received your e-mail and read the very sad news of Martha Gonzalez. I am deeply traumatized and dismayed by her sudden passing away. It is very intricate for the family members to put up with the inconvenience of unexpected anguish which they had not anticipated or contemplated. In this moment of sorrow they are not alone. I am with them as well.
Please convey this message on behalf of me to the grieved family members.

Andrew, I can't imagine what you're going through right now. You're in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope that there is light in your darkness.

She sounds like a singularly special woman.

I Heard about the sad story on the news and then received a message from Metapahrasis. I never had the privilege of meeting Martha. Death of a loved one is never easy, especially a sudden death at such a young age. I will pray that the Lord will comfort you and your family. He will heal your wounds and you will find joy in her memories.
